West New York is a town located in Hudson County that is home to approximately 50,000 residents. One of the most notable features of West New York is Bergenline Avenue, also referred to as Miracle Mile. Bergenline boasts a wide variety of different restaurants and shops. Additionally, the avenue is used a route for multiple local parades that occur throughout the year, the most popular being their annual Memorial Day Parade.
In regards to education, the West New York School District serves students from pre-kindergarten through the twelfth grade. There is Early Childhood School for students in pre-kindergarten, six elementary schools for students from kindergarten through the sixth grade, West New York Middle School for students in grades seven and eight, and Memorial High School for students in the ninth grade through the twelfth grade.
The town has an immensely accessible and convenient public transportation system in place, including service from the New Jersey Transit bus line and the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail. These modes of public transportation connect to a variety of other train and bus lines and even make travel to the local airport, Newark Liberty International, very manageable.
There are also several large parks and running trails located in the area. For further entertainment, residents of West New York are a quick light rail stop away from a mall, several movie theaters, and Midtown Manhattan.
