Hoboken, NJ is most famously noted for being the location of the first recorded game of baseball and is an area in Hudson County that has seen tremendous growth over the past decade. The city boasts a well-developed public transportation system that makes accessibility to New York City and other parts of New Jersey readily available to residents – a perk for commuters who don’t want to deal with the hassle of owning a car.

In regards to education, Hoboken has several public and private schools located within the city as well as charter schools and one university – Stevens Institute of Technology. Salvatore R. Calabro Elementary School, Thomas G. Connors Elementary School, and Wallace Elementary School all serve students from kindergarten through the eighth grades. Hoboken High School serves students from the ninth through the twelfth grades and was ranked 187th out of all the public high schools throughout the state.
Hoboken has also been in the eye of the media over the past several years – most famously for being the location of Carlo’s Bake Shop, the bakery that is filmed on TLC’s Cake Boss.
